Several Giving Trees grace the Gathering Space starting next weekend for our annual Advent outreach to programs and agencies caring for the needs of infants, children, adults and veterans.
There is a tree for local families needing assistance, as well as the Pregnancy Center in Lincoln Park, Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor, Veteran’s Hospital, Core City Neighborhood, Christy’s Legacy of Hope, St. Aloysius Parish Neighborhood Services, Pope Francis Center and St. Christine Parish, all in Detroit.
Gift tags on each of the trees represent the Wish Lists of each agency. Choose one or more items and place purchases back under the same tree (tags and trees are color-coded to make sure we match gifts and agencies). Please tape the tag to your donation and return it by December 10. Also, keep items in their original packaging, but do not gift-wrap.
Our Annual Giving Tree Program offers us the opportunity to share our blessings and demonstrates the heartfelt concern and caring that we have for those less fortunate than ourselves. Each year, the generosity of our parish is amazing!
