Join Us Saturday, October 24 from 9:00am – 12:00pm in the St. Anne Rm of the Holy Family Hall
Parishioners of all ages, including families with younger children, are welcome to participate in this awesome day of community service. We have enjoyed working together in the past and encourage you to join us for a great opportunity to be Christ to others.
Our projects this year support several parish Christian service outreach programs:
- We will be sorting and packing personal hygiene products for the “Fall Blessing Bags”
- Putting together sani-pad kits for young ladies in Africa
- Make 100 sandwiches for Franciscan Ministries
- Decorate lunch bags for our lunch ministries
- Making “plarn” from plastic bags to be crocheted into mats for the homeless
- Make fleece lap blankets for local nursing homes.
We will also be preparing the parish gardens for fall. We will be raking leaves, pulling out annuals, digging out weeds and invasive plants, and more. Be sure to bring garden gloves, rakes, trowels, shovels, brooms, paper lawn waste bags, or trash cans on wheels. You do not have to be a gardener or have a green thumb, just the desire to work in the fresh air and help.
Continental breakfast snacks will be served! To register call Therese at (313) 436-0201
